PERFORMANCE: 26th - 28th April 2007 flowers PARADISE

By changing cast for every production, the flowers dance collective have created many multidimensional and unique pieces. Refusing to restrict their activities to established theatres, they have performed in a variety of unique venues; reading rooms, abandoned buildings, garages – wherever they were attracted to.
flowers’ performances create numerous beautiful and multidimensional worlds. They combine an infinite variety of elements, starting with dance and music and continuing with props, costumes, space, performers, and even audiences themselves.
“Last summer, they met in an empty space somewhere in Kanda:
A man who has the memory of sound recorded in his heart;
a woman who turned the memory of light into a glowing swing;
a mastermind who predicts the whereabouts of memory;
a hip kid who holds the switch to memory
a traveller who truly listens.
this spring, they meet again,
in a space within a building behind the Aoyama cemetery in Nogizaka
They collaborate with dance, sound and light
Their 5 shadows merge, lying on top of each other.”
